Things I forgot to mention in my last blog post...

At the Italy orientation, there were so many people there! The country with the most amount of kids was Thailand and all of the were really nice and spoke as much English as they were able to. While we were waiting for lunch one day, some of the kids from Thailand were sitting and playing a game, then they invited a few of us Americans because we looked interested. It was called the ABC game and every letter had a hand signal. Each person had a turn and would throw their signal on "C" and anyone that matched theirs got their hand slapped the amount of times the letter stood for. It kind of resembled Rock Paper Scissors.
AFS let us roam the hotel (it wasn't set up like an actual hotel, it was really weird because there was a lot of outside space) in our free time, we found a lot of cool spots where we would sit and talk. Sometimes while going around we would meet other kids and they would hang out with us which was pretty fun. Also, there were a lot of trees with fruit on them outside. They also had this wide kind of netting underneath, so I'm pretty sure the building used the fruit from the trees. (They have fruit after almost every meal here) It was so strange because in the United States, you don't really grow your own fruit trees anywhere.
Italians have fruit after most meals (not breakfast) and they only eat fruit that is in season. So right now I have been eating grapes and peaches. Their peaches here are very sweet and yummy. They also had these little desserts after some meals that were the best thing ever! They were made with a soft bottom part that was like a cookie, and then it had this jelly type stuff on top, and I could not get enough of these things.
